Due to modernisation work between Korukonda and Vizianagaram stations which started on Sunday for commissioning of third line and enhancing the rider comfort and faster movement of trains, the East Coast Railway (ECoR) short-terminated and cancelled some trains till October 13.
According to a Press release issued by the East coast Railway (ECoR), the Visakhapatnam-Koraput intercity express leaving Visakhapatnam on October 5, 9 and 12 would remain cancelled while Koraput-Visakhapatnam intercity express leaving on October 6, 10 and 13 would remain cancelled.
The Shalimar-Visakhapatnam weekly express leaving Shalimar and Visakhapatnam-Shalimar weekly express would be cancelled on October 6 and 7, respectively while Visakhapatnam-Digha weekly express leaving Visakhapatnam on October 8 would remain cancelled. The Digha-Visakhapatnam weekly express leaving Digha on October 9 would be cancelled.
The Visakhapatnam-Paradeep weekly express leaving Visakhapatnam on October 11 would remain cancelled and consequently Paradeep-Visakhapatnam weekly express would be cancelled on October 14.
The Visakhapatnam-Gunupur passenger and Gunupur-Visakhapatnam passenger, Visakapatnam- Palasa MEMU passenger, Palasa-Visakhapatnam MEMU passenger would remain cancelled from Monday to October 13.
The Visakhapatnam-Vizianagaram MEMU passenger leaving Visakhapatnam from October 5 and 13 would be cancelled and Vizianagaram-Visakhapatnam MEMU passenger leaving Vizianagaram from October 6 and 14 would remain out of the track. The train Visakhapatnam-Palasa passenger leaving Visakhapatnam from October 5 and 13 would remain cancelled and Palasa-Visakhapatnam passenger leaving Palasa from October 6 to 14 would be cancelled.
The Korput-Visakhapatnam passenger leaving Koraput would be short terminated at Rayagada between October 5 to 14 and would run as 58538 passenger from Rayagada to Koraput.
The Durg-Visakhapatnam passenger train leaving Durg from October 5 to 12 would be short terminated at Titlagarh and from Titlagarh the train would run as Titlagarh-Durg passenger from October 6 to 13. The Raipur-Visakhapatnam passenger train leaving Raipur from October 5 to 13 would be short terminated at Titlagarh and from Titlagarh the train would run as Titlagarh-Raipur passenger from October 5 and 13.
