The Visakhapatnam-Amritsar Express was halted near Shyamacharanpur in Dhenkanal district due to power failure in the train engine on Tuesday.
According to reports, the incident took place while the express train was moving at a slow pace on up line as repairing of track was being carried out near Shyamacharanpur.
On being informed, railway staffs reached the spot and carried out restoration work. An engine arrived from the Dhenkanal railway station and the train resumed its journey after being connected with the new engine.
