Trafficked S'garh girl languishes in Delhi

Published on:

A girl of Bonei sub-division of Sundargarh  district  has been languishing in New Delhi since last one and a half years after  being trafficked.

Her parents are in agony and trying to bring her back home, but their efforts have not yet been fruitful. The girl’s parents  met Additional SP,  Rourkela on Monday to intervene in the  matter.

Andhrias Aind, a daily labourer, resides with his wife Anita and other family members at Raniberna village under the Chandiposh  police station.

In July 2016, one Anita Bud, a woman resident of  lathikata of the district, took Andhrias’s daughter Sushila (20) to  New Delhi on a promise of providing her a job for `10,000  to  `15,000 per month.  When Sushila’s parents did not get any information about her even  after two months, they asked Anita Bud about Sushila, but Bud allegedly threatened them and said she had sold Sushila in Delhi.

In September 2017, Andhrias received a call on his mobile from Sushila, who said she was engaged as a domestic help in someone’s house in Delhi and she was not being given food and also not paid salary.

A crying Sushila said she was talking on someone’s mobile.

Now, the Additional SP, Rourkela, has directed the Chandiposh PS IIC to immediately nab Anita Bud and take steps to rescue Sushila.
