Samarendra Mohapatra, Traffic Inspector (OMVD), RTO, Jharsuguda, came under Vigilance scanner on Wednesday following allegations against him for possessing assets disproportionate to his known sources of income.
The total cost of the movable and immovable assets detected during the raids on his houses was calculated at Rs 1.09 crore.Vigilance officials conducted searched in Mohapatra’s paternal residential building at Santasahi, Badambadi, Cuttack, another building at Unit-23, Santasahi, Badambadi, Cuttack, and office room at Jharsuguda simultaneously. The detected properties included hard cash of Rs 3.72 lakh and a double-storied and a triple storied building at Santasahi, Cuttack worth Rs 88.94 lakh.
