The woman Traffic Constable accused of slapping the daughter of an ADG filed a police complaint at the Capital police station here on Friday.
Notably, the daughter of Additional Director General (ADG) of Railways and Coastal Security Pranabindu Acharya had on Thursday accused Traffic Constable Pushpalata Bhoi of stopping her car and slapping her at the traffic post near AG Square. “I asked the constable to make way for me because the traffic lights had already turned green; and when I moved further, she came up to me and slapped me,” alleged the ADG’s daughter, adding that she came back and asked the cop to apologise since she had not done anything serious.
Meanwhile, the Commissionerate police are examining the CCTV footage of the incident.
According to sources, the constable and her family members have apprised top police officials about the matter.
