The months of September and October are full of splendid festivals, starting with the Durga Puja , the laxmi Puja , the Deepavali and the Durga Puja etc in which regulation of city traffic and law and order poses a major issue for the Government and the police. The Commissionerate Police of the twin city faces a tough job during the time. All police personnel are under pressure those days and it is due to lack of proper planning, co-ordination and management that untpward situations occur. I would like to suggest full restriction of heavy vehicles, busses, cars inside the city roads from 6 pm in evening to 6 am in morning to facilitate darshan of the images. Moreover, many roads in the twin city are either under construction or dumped with debris due to repair works. This may be an eye opener as special attention needs to be given to these roads to regulate the traffic.
