The services sub-sector of Trade, Hotels and Restaurants contributed a 10.37-per cent share to the Gross State Domestic Product (GSDP) in 2014-15 and is expected to contribute 10.86 per cent share in 1015-16 at 2011-12 prices.
Even this sub-sector records highest share of within services broad sector in the State. The share continued to rise consistently since last decade. Between 2011-12 and 2015-16, the sub-sector maintained a impressive annual average growth rate, according to the Economic Survey 2015-16 recently presented in the State Assembly.
