In the wake of the murderous attack on law Minister Maheswar Mohanty, the State Government on Monday has made it compulsory for the MlAs, Ministers and senior officers to take Personal Security Officers (PSOs) with them during their tour programme to avoid any possible mishap.
According to official sources, the Home Department would issue a standard guideline to all the Ministers, MlAs and senior officers to take security personnel along with them wherever they visit as a foolproof security measure. Since this is an election year, they have been asked to stick to the guideline keeping in view possible untoward incidents, it said.
