The Samajwadi Party (SP), which held a candlelight rally here on Sunday to pay tributes to those who died during in floods in the aftermath of the Cyclone Titli, demanded that the State Government provide Rs 10 lakh each to the family of each deceased.
Party State president Rabi Behera said that more than 25 persons are reported to have died in the floods. He also demanded that the State Government provide pucca houses to the deceased’s kin and the Central Government provide an interim relief of Rs 500 crore to the State.
