Chief Secretary GC Pati set roadmap and timelines for completion of each industrial cluster along highways and rail lines ways at a review meeting held at the State Secretariat on Thursday.
Industries Secretary Sanjeeb Chopra presented updates and outlined issues for discussion. The Chief Secretary advised the department to identify new clusters for development of downstream industries along Paradip Express Highway from Kalinganagar to Paradip and along the railway line from Bhadrak to Dhamara.
Pati asked Revenue and Industries Departments to work out a system for making the land owners as stakeholders for faster development of the proposed clusters. He also advised the Industries Department to identify anchor investors for each cluster.
Progress of industrial clusters like Aluminium Park at Angul, Plastic Park at Paradip, Sea Food Park at Deras, Electronics Park at Info-Valley, Bhubaneswar, Textile and Rice Park at Bhadrak, Petro Chemical Cluster at Paradip, National Investment and Manufacturing Zone at Kalinganagar were reviewed.
