Security forces recovered a 40-kg tiffin bomb in a forest near Telanga Pada village in Mohana block of Gajapati district during a combing operation on Sunday.
The bomb, suspected to be planted Maoists, was found by District Voluntary Force (DVF) personnel during the combing operation in Paniganda and Katama gram panchayats under the Adaba police limits.
The bomb was defused by a bomb disposal squad, said Adaba police station officer Anama lakra.
As per the direction of Gajapati district SP Sushil Kumar Panigrahi, the DVF personnel have been continuing the combing operation in all the concerned villages of the district.
