Congress MP and party Chief Whip in Parliament Deepender Singh Hooda on Thursday alleged that the three years of the Narendra Modi Government was a disturbing saga of failures, betrayal and divisive politics
Addressing a Press conference here, Hooda said the three years of the NDA Government led by Modi has been only broken promises. The youth are struggling to find jobs, farmers are committing suicide and soldiers are dying on the border. What exactly is the Government celebrating, he wanted to know.
"Modi wove a dream of Achche Din and forgot his promises after coming to power. He only exploited emotive issues and misled people by creating false controversies and dividing the society,” he said.
Modi's statements on Achche Din, crimes against women, soldiers' deaths China, Aadhaar, the Adarsh Gram Yojna, the goods and services tax, the employment scene, farmers, the crop insurance schemes, minimum support price, the pink revolution (the growth of meat production), the Make in India, Skill India, Home-for-All and Digital India campaigns have failed, the Congress leader said. The plight of the farmers shows how insensitive the Government is. Modi promised input cost plus 50 per cent profit for their yield and then refused to deliver. Speaking on internal security, he alleged that a false debate on nationalism was being sustained despite utter failure on all fronts, including terrorism and combating the Maoist violence and the foreign policies vis-à-vis Pakistan and China.
Hooda also condemned the arrest of Rahul Gandhi by the Madhya Pradesh Government, when he had gone to meet the farmers in Mandsuar in the State.
