Three S'garh women traffickers absconding

Three persons, including two women, are absconding after they had allegedly forcibly taken three girls of the district to New Delhi to engage them as maid servants.

One of the three girls managed to flee from Delhi to her home in the Kansbahal area recently and lodged an FIR at the Rajgangpur police station. The Rajgangpur police have written to the District labour Officer and are contemplating to go to Delhi to rescue the other two girls. The police are also searching the three accused to arrest them.

Sources said Kalyani Bhaisal of Kansbahal’s Dubapada and Meena and Raju of Rourkela lured Pramila lakra, Suguni Kujur and Rajani Kujur, all 18 years old, promising them jobs at Jharsuguda and the poor girls left their homes without informing their parents.

Instead of taking the girls to Jharsuguda, the three accused took them to Delhi forcibly in February this year. After reaching Delhi, when the girls refused to work there, they were threatened and abused by the accused. The girls were engaged as maids in different residences. Then, Suguni Kujur was sent to Mumbai to work as a maid servant there.

The girls were not paid their salary and were also not provided minimum food. Suguni met one Sarojini Kerketta, a resident of Dharuadih of Jharsuguda district, with whom she shared her story of plight. Recently, Sarojini brought Suguni to Rajgangpur and the family members of Suguni lodged a complaint with the police.

The police went to the residences of all the three accused to arrest them, but they are absconding. According to police sources, Kalyani Bhaisal is the mastermind among the accused.
