The Town police on Thursday arrested three youths from the district court area and seized three pistols from them. The police earlier had got a complaint that some goons had threatened witnesses in a murder case not to depose before the court. They threatened to kill them, if they go to the court.
The police had set up a dragnet to nab the criminals. The police personnel in plain clothes were posted in and around the court to put in close vigil over some suspects. In a matter of time, they could spot the culprits and immediately nabbed them. On conducting a search, three pistols were recovered from their possession.
They were taken to the town police station and an interrogation was on to find out if these persons were supari killers and they were involved in any other crimes, the police said.
