A team of the Balangir police on Wednesday arrested one Jaykumar Sahu of the Jharbandh area in Bargarh district in connection with a dacoity committed in the Balangir town area in October.
Similarly, the Nuapda police arrested his two associates, Satyaban Pradhan and Ashok Pradhan of Bargada district, involved in the incident. Notably, the three accused had entered into the house of Sarat Rout, a contractor of the Rajendrapada area, and decamped with gold ornaments and cash. A country-made pistol and a motor-cycle have been seized from them.
