Three employees of the Civil Supplies Department in Jajpur have been suspended for allegedly consuming alcohol in a hotel near their office during their duty hours at Jajpur town on Friday.Head Clerk Laxmikanta Nayak, Accountant Gautam Ray and Peon Pravakar Ray were seen drinking alcohol in the hotel when the district Collector Ranjan Kumar Das raided the bar.
“Acting on the tipoff, we raided the hotel at 1.30 in afternoon and found all the three employees drinking liquor during the office hours, for which they have been suspended. There was indiscipline on the part of the Government employees as they cannot drink during office hours,” said the Collector.
