A three-day agrarian festival of Raja organised under the banner of the Jagannath Lalit Kala Sansad, the cultural wing of the Paradip Port Trust, kick-started here on Friday to facilitate the denizens of the port township and nearby areas to celebrate the festival en masse.
Paradip Ladies’ Club president Subhalaxmi Roy inaugurated the programme in the presence of Paradip Port Trust Chairman Rinkesh Roy and conveyed her Raja greetings to the people of Paradip.
Various competitions on Odia tradition like Podapitha, Hulahuli, Raja Paan, Raja Besa, Raja Gita and many more will be organised during the three days of the festival.
Ladies’ Club secretary Kalpana Sahu, PPT department heads and other officers and employees were present in the inaugural programme.
