The State unit of BJP cracked whip on three of its executive body members by suspending them for indiscipline and indulgence in anti-party activities, while it served show cause notice on the trio to explain why they should not be expelled from the party.
According to chief spokesperson of State BJP Suresh Pujari, the three State executive body members included Murali Manohar Sharma of Badbil, Tushar Kanti Jena from Bhadrakh and Ajaya Sas of Bolangir. They were suspended from the party for making anti-party statements over debacle in the UlB polls. They have been served with show cause to be replied within ten days, Pujari said.
The axe fell on the three senior leaders as they chose to make public statements, questioning the way of functioning of senior leaders and held parallel meetings without taking permission from the party, Pujari clarified.
