Three tribal girls, who were allegedly kidnapped from Parajabedapadar in the Dasmantapur area of Koraput district, returned safely to their hostel around six hours after their abduction on Monday morning.
Sources said two Class-VI students and a Class-IX student, inmates of the Parajabedapadar tribal hostel, had been kidnapped by some unidentified miscreants in a four-wheeler when they had gone out to attend nature’s call in the wee hours of Monday.
The hostel authorities and the girls’ parents lodged a complaint with the Dasmantapur police in this connection. However, the minors returned to the hostel on their own unharmed.
“We do not know who kidnapped us and why while we had gone to attend nature’s call. They had tied our hands and legs. Besides, they blindfolded us. They applied something in our mouths and noses, following which we became unconscious. When we retained consciousness, we found ourselves in the forest. later, we managed to get the way to the hostel and returned here safely,” said the girls almost in unison.
Meanwhile, police are investigating about the incident.
