In a startling revelation, two friends of deceased Asutosh Mohanty alias Rishi on Thursday claimed that there were links between the suspicious death of Rishi and the sex tape purportedly featuring city Mayor Anant Narayan Jena.
However, the two friends who appeared before the media wearing masks alleged that the police know everything and as influential people were involved in the sex video case, the police were not going into the depth.
One of the friends of Rishi covering his face told mediapersons here that if police security was ensured to them, they were ready to tell the investigating team everything.
“If a thorough probe is launched, the mystery behind the Rishi death could be ascertained and people involved could be known,” he affirmed.
He further stated, “Many people know about the sex video which matches with the footage showed by Rishi to me.”
“Rishi told me twice if the secret stored in the mobile phone gets out, there will be a threat to his life. As far as I know the death was due to the CD,” said he.
Another friend also covering his face narrated his meeting between Rishi and his girlfriend. He said the video was shot by Rishi’s girlfriend.
“We had gone to Shastri Nagar in a scooty where Rishi had come in his bike. He (Rishi) then called up his girlfriend who reached the meeting spot and handed over a mobile phone,” said he.
Hinting that his life will be at stake if the content of the video goes out, the friend of Rishi said, “He showed us the video footage which matches with the viral video in the website.” The friend emphatically said Rishi was not a drug addict.
Meanwhile, Commissioner of Police YB Khurania, while welcoming the daring act of the youths, assured them of police protection.
