Acting on reliable information, Vigilance officers on Saturday intercepted Titilagarh RWD Executive Engineer Debendra Kumar Pattnaik 15 km ahead of Balangir and found him carrying unaccounted amount of Rs 4, 58,170.
The Executive Engineer was proceeding to Angul from Titilagarh by a Scorpio car when he was intercepted.
In order to ascertain the further assets possessed by him, his residential houses at Angul, native Village Talamula, Banarpal in Angul district, Government quarter and office chamber at Titilagarh were simultaneously searched, said an official release.
Pattnaik had entered into Government Service as Contractual AE in the year 1992. He was regularised in the same rank in 1999. He got promotion to the rank of Executive Engineer in 2014 and posted at the current place.
