Keeping possible terrorist attack in view, the Defence Ministry has tightened security around the defence area of the INS Chilka here for the last five days. Reliable sources said four Maoists looted six guns and bullets from the premises of the Chilka defence base on December 3 midnight.
Naval police have arrested a woman in this connection while three other persons are absconding. However, the INS Chilka authorities denied the loot allegation. They said security has been tightened and that is an internal matter. Sources said panic prevailed in the areas of civilian staff base and KVK of the INS Chilka for some time.
