Tension prevailed at the communally-sensitive Kendrapada town on Sunday evening as the Eid wish flex banners that were put up by the BJD at a couple of places hurt the sentiments of the minority community members.
The minority community members protested that in the flex banners the Holy Quran was placed under the photo of Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik. They alleged that it hurt the religious sentiments of the community while the sacred month of Ramzaan was going on. However, before the situation went out of control , some BJD supporters tore down the banners.
