The 27th installation ceremony of the Rotary Club of Temple City, Bhubaneswar was held on Sunday at Nalco Nagar here with Governor Dr SC Jamir as chief guest.
Dr Jamir appreciated the Rotarians’ motto of putting service above self. The Governor and his wife were conferred with Honorary Rotarian recognition.
Eminent Sculptor Sudarshan Sahu and Odishi danseuse Madhubrata Satapathy were felicitated for their contributions in the socio-cultural fields. Besides, MCl CMD AK Jha, Neyveli lignite Corporation CMD Sarat Kumar Acharya, Dhamra Port COO Subrat Tripathy, NTPC Director (Finance) Kulamani Biswal and Tata Sponge MD Sanjay Patnaik were felicitated for their contributions to industry.
Nalco CMD Dr Tapan Kumar Chand was inducted as President of the club for the year 2017-18. Club souvenir ‘Dhauli’ and Nalco Mahila Samiti newsletter ‘Sangini’ were released on the occasion.
