Telangana Joint Action Committee leaders Prof K Venkataswami and Prof C Bhaskara Rao backed the demand for formation of a separate Koshal State comprising of western districts of Odisha at public meetings held in Subarnapur district on Wednesday.
The two leaders, who came here on invitation of the Koshal State Coordination Committee, shared their struggle experience in creation of Telangana by bifurcating Andhra Pradesh at public meetings held at Tarbha, Ullunda and Birmaharajpur in the district.
Koshal movement leader Pramod Mishra highlighted about the need for formation of a Koshal State based on culture and language to short out regional imbalance permanently.
locals in large numbers attended the meetings in their respective areas.
