The Vigilance police on Tuesday caught Khandapada Tehsil office Head Clerk Digambar Mohanty red-handed for demanding and accepting an illegal gratification of Rs 2,000.
Mohanty was caught taking the bribe from complainant Ashok Kumar Maharana of Kadhubehera Patna village to provide him the land record.
Bhubaneswar Vigilance DSP Akhaya Kumar Mishra, Inspector Manoranjan Paikray, Sarita Tripathy, Sheikh Abdul Basit and other officials were present during the raid.
