The Teacher Education Department of the Central University of Orissa (CUO) organised a seminar on the topic ‘Digital India: Integration of Technology with Pedagogy’ on Friday at its main campus at Sunabeda.
CUO Vice-Chancellor Prof Sachidananda Mohanty inaugurated the programme and mentioned that technology is a facilitating tool for education.
Mumbai University Education Department Prof Dhaneswar Harichandan highlighted that with the new initiatives teacher’s role has changed from creating content, coming to class and delivering the content to mentoring and facilitating learning. “Effective integration of technology is achieved when students are able to select technology tools to help them obtain information in a timely manner, analyse and synthesise the information, and present it professionally.
Teacher Education department HoD Dr Ramendra Kumar Parhi gave welcome address. Faculties and students of the CUO interacted with Prof Harichandan regarding the topic.
