As valuation of matriculation examination answer sheets is going to begin shortly and valuation of plus two answer sheets is likely to follow soon afterwards, many Lecturers here feel the urgency of going for online evaluation from home.
They have opposed the traditional way of holding valuation zones and gathering of evaluators there for several weeks to evaluate the answer sheets. The lecturers pointed out that as far as plus two science answer sheets are concerned, online valuation is nothing new, the only difference being “valuation at valuation zones, and not from homes.”
In view of the pandemic, this can be modified a bit this year and may be made to cover all the three streams of science, humanities and commerce. Modification means the examiners this time may be allowed to evaluate the scanned answer sheets online from their homes and this can be done smoothly, once they are given their respective Id and passwords, the lecturers clarified.
The proposed process of valuation has the efficacy of effectively breaking the chain of corona virus, giving absolutely no scope for violation of social distancing norms, and at the same time will ensure smooth and satisfactory valuation, they said. The teachers have expressed hope that their suggestion will certainly be given some serious thought by the authorities.
