The prime accused in humiliating a teacher in a kangaroo court in Nayagarh district was arrested on Monday.
According to reports, the Itamati police arrested Balarampur village committee president Baridhar Nayak for allegedly delivering the verdict in the kangaroo court where a teacher from neighbouring Baunsiapada village was subjected to inhuman treatment.
The teacher Sridhar Nayak was beaten up and tortured in the kangaroo court on October 17. Earlier on Saturday, two persons Mayadhar Pradhan and Sanjay Pradhan were arrested.
The teacher was forced to negotiate through the stretched legs of Mayadhar Pradhan at the kangaroo court after being beaten up.
