The VS Vidyalaya of Sunabeda organised a workshop for teachers here recently having a topic on ‘Strategies for Imparting English language and Activity-Based Teaching in High school’. Inaugurating the workshop, school Principal Hemant Kumar Seth said such workshop will brush-up the knowledge of teachers. Educationist Seena Devar joined the event as resource person and highlighted that the role of teachers should be different with the changing scenario of the 21st century with technical advancements. Hence, there is a need to notice the changes in educational system and at the same time teachers have to understand the students, she said, adding that the role of a teacher today is not only to teach but also to guide them like a psychologist. About 120 teachers from the VS Vidyalaya, Sunabeda, Deomali Public School and Netaji English Medium School of Semiliguda attended the workshop.
