With a view to ensuring uninterrupted teaching in schools in the remote areas of Malkangiri district, the State Government has decided to form teacher clusters in the region, said School and Mass Education Minister Samir Ranjan Dash.

School students of as many as seven gram panchayats would be benefited by the initiative, for which Rs 8 crore would be spent. Facility for accommodation of 15 teachers would be provided in the first phase, the Minister said.

He also informed that foundation-stone for the teacher cluster would be laid on December 18.

Notably, lack of proper roads has been affecting commuting of teachers to their schools in the remote areas of the district.
