A poor tea seller near Jaraka Junction on NH-16 under the Dharmasala police station in Jajpur district has earned lavish praise for his honesty.
Krishnachandra Dalei had found a wallet with Rs 4,000 and a Voter ID card from the road near his shop. From the voter card, he knew that it belonged to one Biren Pingua of Domuhani in Bangirposi of Mayurbhanj district. He asked his son to post in social media about the recovery of the wallet.
On Tuesday, Biren arrived at the Jaraka police outpost. After proving his identity, he got back the purse. He said on December 19, he was on his way to Paradip by his motorcycle when he lost the wallet and the documents. He thanked Krishnachandra for his honesty. Locals and other traders, who were also present, praised the tea seller.
