The Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), State unit on Thursday organised an interactive session with Commercial Tax Commissioner Manoj Ahuja wherein CII members apprised him about various issues faced by them in commercial tax matters.
“The interactive session was aimed at solving the existing query of the industries and understanding the tax system in a better way. The session provided a platform for the members to discuss on the problems faced by them,” said CII Odisha head Deepak Kumar Singh.
CII MSME Panel and Magnum Apparel Pvt. ltd managing director Niranjan Mohanty along with many others raised some common issues faced by industries and stressed on solution of minor issues which led to bigger blockage in operations.
The participants requested the Commissioner to address their issues like, appeal amount on penalties, entry tax, waybill issues, taxes like VAT and CST. Ahuja also assured the CII members of all possible helps.
