In order to ensure economic growth of Tassar farmers, the State Government has increased price of a reeling cocoon from Rs575 to Rs600. Around 15,000 farmers will be benefitted. The decision to this effect was taken at a price determination committee meeting headed by Handlooms, Textiles and Handicrafts Director Debendra Prasad Das. The hike of the price of cocoon has been increased for the third time in the current financial year.
