Tarbha cops' partiality in law execution decried

Published on:

Tarbha residents in Subarnapur district are a worried lot now as the local police have allegedly turned partial in enforcing law and, thereby, creating social

differences.

While it has been declared that sound systems would not be used beyond 10 pm, a recent orchestra programme organised by Giridhari Agarwal continued till 11 pm in the presence of police, much to the dismay of conscious citizens. Agrawal is reportedly a relative of Tarabha PS IIC Srikant Kuamar Tripathy.

“It has been seen that police seize instruments used in wedding processions and impose fine on band parties if use of sound systems goes beyond 10 pm. But how Agrawala was allowed to hold an orchestra programme in high-decibel sounds on the Nuapara road till 11 pm,” wanted to know some senior residents.

Meanwhile, locals have urged SP Prafulla Kumar Patera to conduct a probe into their allegation as they have been disturbed a lot due impartiality of the Tarbha police.
