Sohini Pal, daughter of Trinamool Congress (TMC) MP Tapas Pal who is now on the Odisha CBI remand, appeared before the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Monday for interrogation.

Earlier, the CBI had sent notice to Sohini to appear before it for deposition. Sources said Sohini was also allegedly involved in the scam.

The MP is currently on a three-day remand of the CBI. He had been produced at the CBI Special Court here on December 31. The CBI had arrested Pal on December 30 from Kolkata.

Notably, the Rose Valley has duped investors of a total of Rs 17,000 crore, including Rs 450 crore in Odisha, in different places across the country. Assets worth Rs 1,250 crore of the ponzi firm have so far been seized by the CBI.

Meanwhile, Union Minister and Bollywood singer Babul Supriyo has reacted to the controversy over his name being allegedly dragged into the Rose Valley Chit fund scam by Tapas Pal. Pal had on Sunday claimed that Supriyo has tricked him into the chit fund scam.

Supriyo took to the twitter and informed that he would soon file a defamation case against Pal. “I shall file a defamation case against this crazy man. Though I still like 2 believe that he hasn’t said this,” he tweeted.
