A fake tantrik has been arrested by police for molesting a minor girl on the pretext of treating her for some disease. The incident occurred in the Polsara area of Ganjam district.
According to sources, the accused has been identified as Ghulam Mohammed, who hails from the Tali area of Bhanjanagar. As per allegations, the so-called tantrik allegedly gave a false promise to cure the girl of an unknown disease and then molested her.
He was arrested after a case was filed at the Bhanjanagar police station. The accused was forwarded to court on Friday, said sources.
