The charter ceremony for the newly-formed Rotary Club of Tangi-Chandpur recognised by the Rotary International, which was sponsored by Rotary club of Banpur-Balugaon, was held on Thursday last.
District Governor of Rotary Brig Narayan Nayak presented Charter Certificate to the president of club Dr Madhusudan Senapati, and prior to that president of Banpur- Balugaon club Bijaya Kumar Behera installed Dr Senapati as club president.
District chairman (Extension) Santanu Kumar Pani expressed his gratitude to new comers of Rotary International. Secretary of the club Padmanav Biswal thanked for the cooperation and coordination of Banpur-Balugaon Rotary Club.
Among others former district Governor Dr Narayan Mishra, former Police DG Nimai Charan Padhi, Prof Bijaya Kumar Nanda and Asha Mishra spoke. Club bulletin Ratnamali was released by Governor Nayak.
Former presidents of Rotary Club of Banpur-Balugaon Dr Jogendranath Senapati, Om Prakash Agrawal, Baidyanath Panigrahi among others greeted the members of the new club.
