The Bhubaneswar Tamil Sangam celebrated its silver jubilee here on Sunday under the chairmanship of former administrator and organisation founder president S Sundar Rajan.
Tamil Nadu High Court Judge R Madhavan, Tamil Development Department Director Dr K Bijayaraghavan and Sakti Company Group chairman Dr M Manikam graced the event as guests.
Sangam president S Duraiswami, delivering the welcome address, said the organisation has played a vital role in its 25 years by maintaining the brotherhood between the Odia and Tamil people. Sangam general secretary TBT Anasari read out the annual report. On the occasion, people having significant contributions in the field of art and literature were felicitated by the guests. Odia and Tamil students performed Odishi and other dances. A play was also staged by the members of the Sangam.
