Work for the Talecher Fertiliser Plant would begin by end of the current fiscal, 2016-17.
It was revealed at a review meeting held in New Delhi on Wednesday under chairmanship of Union Fertilisers and Chemicals Minister Anant Kumar in the presence of Minister of State for Fertilisers and Chemicals Manmukh Mandabhia and Minister of State (Ind) for Petroleum and Natural Gas Dharmendra Pradhan. Secretaries of both the Ministries were also present.
Informing about the decision, PNG Minister Pradhan said the Talcher plant would start functioning from this year with focus on low cost and low environmental impact.
