Putting more difficulties for Talcher BJD MlA Braja Kishore Pradha, a woman, who has been claiming to be his wife, on Tuesdayreached Pradhan’s house here and asked his family members to accept her as daughter-in-law.
The woman named Sonalika Mohanty came by an auto-rickshaw to Hadibandhu Chhak and requested a shopkeeper to show her Pradhan’s house. Reaching the house, she told Pradhan’s family members that she is wife of Braja Kishore and urged them to accept her as daughter-in-law. But baffled family members opposed her very strongly and didn’t allow her to enter the house. Neighbourers soon gathered there.
A police team, which was patrolling in the area for Ward 19 by-poll, came there and took Sonalika to the police station.
She told police and reporters that she had sufficient evidence to prove her claim. She was residing with Pradhan at the MlA colony in Bhubaneswar for long which Braja Kishore’s cook and nearby shopkeepers know. She was compelled to come to Talcher as Pradhan harassed her and didn’t give her money to meet her day to day expenses.
Previously, she had lodged a complaint in the Mahila police station in Bhubanesar alleging she was mentally and physically harassed by the MlA. At that time, Pradhan had admitted before media that he knew Sonalika and helped her by transferring money through his bank accounts several times.
The matter has become a hot discussion among general public in the coal town.
