As an initiative towards women empowerment, the Syndicate Bank has launched a unique scheme SyndMahilaShakthi as part of its observance of the SyndMahilaShakthi Week from December 15 to 20.
For this, the bank set a target of extending loans to over 20,000 women entrepreneurs across the country to help them take up various self employment activities under micro, small and medium enterprises. Under the scheme, the bank is extending finance up to Rs 500 lakhDuring the week, all the 86 branches of the bank in Odisha sanctioned a total loan amount of Rs338 lakh. On the concluding day, the bank conducted a meeting at the bank’s Bhubaneswar main branch, where 68 women entrepreneurs were distributed with loan sanction letters. About 100 women entrepreneurs attended it. Bank’s Bhubaneswar main branch Chief Manager MD Behrea and Assistant Regional Manager Hc Pradhan were present.
