The State level Single Window Clearance Authority (SlSWCA) headed by Chief Secretary Aditya Prasad Padhi cleared three projects worth Rs 864 crore on Thursday.
The approved projects include a multi-layer double coated paper board manufacturing unit of West Coast Paper Mill limited. The 1,32,000-tonne per annum (TPA) capacity unit along with a 12 MW captive power plant will come up at Sonepur in Subarnapur district at an investment of Rs 750 crore and will provide employment opportunities to nearly 700 people.
Similarly, a maize processing plant by Vijaynagar Biotech Private limited at Papadahandi in Nabarangpur district was also cleared. The 50,000-tonne maize processing plant with an investment of Rs 59 crore promises to create employment opportunity for 400 people, informed sources.
Kader Investment and Trading Co Private ltd’s Sea Food Park at Deras on the city outskirts was also cleared by the SlSWCA.
