Odisha has been a victim of superstitions over the years. Innocent people and corrupt politicians are working as its two wings, causing corruptions in the field of politics. This can be driven away fully through dedicated and conscious movements and Odisha can be put in the path of progress.
Some noted persons opined this while addressing a gathering on the occasion of anti-superstition leader Dr Narendra Dabholkar’s first death anniversary held here on Wednesday on behalf of the AMOFOI and the Freethought Party of India.
A seminar titled ‘Odisha people can progress with the alleviation of superstitions’ was organised under the chairmanship of party president Dr Bijayananda Kar.
Noted prose writer Prasanna Kumar Karabar, party general secretary B Ramchandra CST Voltaire, Odisha Rationalist Society president Dhaneswar Sahoo and former NITR Engineering Department head Dr Shashikant Acharya graced the occasion as guests.
