Father of Sunita Raita, a nursing student who committed suicide after failing to get her stipend for 16 months, on Tuesday evening lodged an FIR at the R Udaygiri police station in Gajapati district.
The FIR was lodged against former district Collector Basudev Bahinipati, former ITDA PA Kalyan Kumar Rath and ITDA clerk Janardan Rao seeking their arrest.
Sunita’s father Sudam Raita mentioned in the FIR that his daughter died due to these officials’ negligence. Her suicidal note should be taken into consideration and stringent action should be taken against the officials responsible for her death.
