A 55-year-old man of Sundargarh district has lodged a complaint at then Bargaon police station, alleging being tortured by his wife. Police are investigating the matter after registering a station diary.
Chintamani Sahu, a native of Kastuna village under the Bargaon police limits, resides with his wife Pankajini Sahu (45). According to his FIR, Pankajini has been torturing him physically and mentally since last five years. He has also alleged that his wife has developed extramarital relationship with another person, on whose instance she has been torturing him.
About six months back, Chintamani had also lodged a complaint at the Bargaon police station with the same allegation, but a compromise was made between the husband and the wife at that time in the presence of police officials, said police station IIC Surjya Kanti Das. "We are now investigating into the husband’s fresh allegation and will take appropriate action," she added.
