A delegation of the Sahara Tali Anchala Milita Kriya Anustan Committee (STAMKAC) met Brahmapur MLA Bikram Panda and held discussions regarding the merger of suburban areas of the city and adjoining panchayats into the Berhampur Municipal Corporation (BeMC) fold.
The committee members urged Panda to take expedite steps in this regard . The MLA said that he is very much aware of the issue and he assured to the committee members that he would hold discussion with the concerned officials on Monday in BBSR.
However, he reiterated that a particular date would be finalised in consultation with the officials and the Brahampur MP and which the charter and roadmap for the merger of these areas would be taken up
Among others, STAMKAC president Sanjeba Kumar Patnaik, working president Narayan Chandra Paichha,vice president Hari Hara Nayak, secretary Dr Siba Prasad Mishra, treasurer BV Sagar, joint secretary Srimant Panigrahy and advisor Laxman Patro and Antarjami Behera were present.
