A 23-year-old youth, Ashutosh Badi, from Kenjhariapali under Subarnapur district’s Birmaharajpur block, who was working as a migrant labouer in Tamil Nadu, reportedly died in a road accident near his work place recently.
The bereaved family has urged the district administration to bring back the body.
Sources said Ahutosh, son of Tapan Badi of Kenjariapali, had been working in a shop in Eorda district for the last one and an half year. He was the lone bread earner of the family.
But the family members were left shattered after Tamil Nadu police informed them that Ashutosh died in an accident and asked them to take the body.
The helpless family, which doesn’t have necessary resources to bring back the body, lodged a complaint with the Birmaharajpur police station and approached District labour Officer (DlO) Benudhar Jena seeking help in bringing back the body.
Jena assured them of taking steps in this regard and sent a copy the complaint to the district Collector. The poor family is now waiting for the kin’s body.
