The State Government on Monday suspended former Deputy Collector of Subarnapur district Iswar Chandra Das for his alleged negligence in discharging duties.
An official order stated that Das shall be placed at the Deogarh Collectorate during the suspension period. He was asked not to leave headquarters without obtaining prior permission of the Collector, Deogarh. Das would be entitled to payment of subsistence allowance in accordance with the Orissa Service Code, the order added.
The action against Das was taken on basis of a report submitted by Project Director, DRDA, Subarnapur. Das was allegedly irregular in attending the office and assigned work besides being undisciplined.
