A day after six people died in Puri and Baleswar districts in house collapse incidents, a couple was killed when a wall of their neighbour’s house collapsed late on Sunday night at Jambhalipali village under Ulunda block in Subarnapur district.
The deceased were identified as Nata Nayak (40) and his wife Surabali Nayak (35), who are survived by two daughters and a son.The incident occurred while the husband-wife duo was asleep at night. The wall of the house was rendered weak due to heavy rain and it caved in resulting in the death on the spot. Fellow villagers demanded compensation and Government help for the deceased’s three small children.
